Rise Up Twice-1
SACRIFICING ISAAC
Rise Up Twice-1
Genesis 22:3 “And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up and went unto the place of which God had told him.”
…From yesterday…
Abraham made preparations and provisions for everything that would ensure his trip was successful. He took his time to prepare and the trip was a huge success.
Friend, always prepare ahead and success will always be the result of your undertakings.
In meditating further on our focal scripture, I saw something else that caught my attention. I saw a particular phrase repeated twice that I initially couldn’t add up.
The phrase, “Abraham rose up” occurred twice in this singular verse of scripture. The issue is how a single man would rise up twice.
He rose up the first time, moving around, arranging and organising things. We are not told he lay down, but rather that he rose up again the second time.
The statement looks contradictory, but I have since come to know that the Holy Spirit makes no mistakes. He authored the bible and put things there purposely.
Here is the gist: for every undertaking, you must rise up twice!
How do I mean?
There are two stages to rising in life and destiny. The first one is mental, while the second is physical. Until you understand this you will never do anything significant in life.
Every preparation is done at these two stages as well. Until you make up your mind to do something it will never be done. Many people want to do certain things in life, but they never get started simply because they fail at either of these two stages.
Mental and physical components are vital in whatever we want to do. If you can win mentally the physical will become easy.
The first rising up of Abraham can be likened to mental preparation, while the second one is the execution, which is physical.
To be continued…
