Moriah-2

Moriah-2
Genesis 22:2 “And he said Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.”
…From yesterday…
Abraham had a vision of dominating the whole world and expanding his influence through Isaac, according to the promise God had earlier made to him:
Genesis 13:16 “And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, [then] shall thy seed also be numbered.”
Abraham had this vision as motivation to sow his precious seed. Friend, what vision are you seeing for your seed or future?
Seeds represent the future. Mike Murdock said, “Your seed is the only influence you have over your future”. If so, you need to handle it with ultimate care.
Abraham also knew however that for a seed to produce a harvest it must be sown and part of the sowing process includes the “death of the seed”. Hear this:
John 12:24 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die it abideth alone: but if it die it bringeth forth much fruit.”
I have discovered that the challenge with most people is that they don’t want the seed to die, yet they want harvest.
Friend, dropping the seed leads to the death of the seed before it can produce harvest. A seed you don’t sow remains a seed, but once you sow it, it changes status and becomes a harvest.
Even though your seed is precious, sow it or slaughter it! It is one of the demands of sacrifice.
King David said:
Psalm 126:6 “He that goeth forth and weepeth bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.”
What do you want your seed to become? Envision it, sacrifice it and allow it to die. It will doubtless become a precious harvest for you!
Moriah: have a vision for your seed/future!
To be continued…
