Genesis 22:2 “And he said Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.”
I have discovered that men love asking God for bogus things like the best cars, big house, best husband or wife, nice clothes, wonderful homes and heavy bank accounts, amongst others, but God dares not touch those areas of their lives.
There were times, for instance, when God asked you to give somebody a cloth, what was your attitude? Let me guess; you picked one of those you’ve worn and probably didn’t like again to give out, while holding on to the new one you’re yet to sew.
Even when the Holy Spirit was pricking your heart, you simply said, “Get behind me satan”. You then got down on your knees telling God you’ve given out clothes as instructed and therefore expecting harvest.
You see people bring worthless items to church for the less privileged, things that have become worthless and useless, yet they expect God to change their wardrobe! Hear this:
Galatians 6:7 “Be not deceived God is not mocked for whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap”
You cannot mock or deceive God. Your pastor might applaud you for the gift and even ask the whole church to give you a standing ovation, but the truth is this, God knows the difference between “Ishmael” and “Isaac”. You might fool men, but you can’t fool God.
Giving God worthless things or things of less value and standard attracts similar things to your life. God is not mocked; don’t you ever think you can outsmart Him.
Hear me; God knows “your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love”. He knows your cloth, your car, your land, your money, your bank account, the only one that you love above all else.
When He asks you for something, he knows what he’s expecting, and we know it too.
To be continued…
