The Adventure -4

The Adventure -4
Genesis 22: 1 “And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said Behold, here I am.”
…From yesterday…
The world belongs to adventurers, every man and woman who has made significant impacts on earth all have an adventurous spirit. God loves to “tempt” people with adventures!
I love adventure movies and stories. One thing that always fascinates me is how ordinary men go on adventures and return as heroes and champions. World history is filled with numerous tales of adventures and we read about them daily.
Adventure stories inspires us but the question I always ask myself is, “What will men read about me hundred years from now?”
Friend, it’s time you make up your mind to make your life an adventure worth reading.
I love Paul so much and I know many bible students share the same sentiments. This little man wrote seventy five percent of the New Testament but then hear this about him:
2 Corinthians 11:26 “I have been on frequent journeys, in dangers from rivers, dangers from robbers, dangers from my countrymen, dangers from the Gentiles, dangers in the city, dangers in the wilderness, dangers on the sea, dangers among false brethren;”
Those were the things he went through to give us those revelations. He however didn’t just go on a blind adventure, he went with God. Hear Paul again:
2 Corinthians 2:14 But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place.
Paul made us realize that, When God is the one leading our adventure train it always end in triumph! We have a local saying in Nigeria that, “Actors in a movie don’t die”.
Beloved, make up your mind like Abraham, Paul and others to go on an adventure with God that men can read about and marvel.
Can God tempt you with an adventure?
To be continued…
