Beyond the Tower of Bethel and Edar-7

Beyond the Tower of Bethel and Edar-7
Genesis 35: 21 “And Israel journeyed and spread his tent beyond the tower of Edar.”
…From yesterday…
God moved on from Bethel; Jacob too moved on. Jacob understood the dynamism of the things of the spirit. He knew that the plan of God is always progress.
Proverbs 4: 18 “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.”
If God is not stagnant, why should you? That you have achieved a feat that no one else has shouldn’t make you cocky. That record you set and relaxed will soon be broken, no matter what. It might be long, but another man will come and break it. As long as you are still breathing you must keep on keeping on. Don’t rest on your oars.
Don’t let the “negative anointing of Joshua” fall on you:
Joshua 13: 1 “Now Joshua was old and stricken in years; and the LORD said unto him, Thou art old and stricken in years, and there remaineth yet very much land to be possessed”
That was the negative anointing of Joshua; it is always scary reading about it. God told Joshua he was old and yet there were still lands and kingdoms to conquer. Joshua didn’t go beyond Bethel until old age caught up with him.
Friend, there is more land beyond Bethel; keep moving!
We just discussed about moving ahead from a place of joy, Bethel, but what about a place of sadness and pain?
Many people have remained at Edar. Edar was the place that brought them so much sadness. Edar was the place they lost something precious. Some people lost their jobs and went into depression, instead of looking for other jobs.
Some have refused to forgive the man or woman that jilted them at Edar. Some have refused to attempt another business just because the last one ended in disaster. Some even quit school because of one incident of failure.
To be continued…
