Suffering in Abundance-3

Genesis 21:14 “…she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba.”
Genesis 21:15 “And the water was spent in the bottle, and she cast the child under one of the shrubs.”
…From yesterday…
I always get inspired by the story of great men like Walt Disney. This man was fired in 1919 from the Kansas City Star newspaper. His editor fired him because he “lacked imagination and had no good ideas.” That’s ridiculous as far as I am concerned.
I made that statement because several years after his death, his company is waxing stronger and stronger and people troop to Disney land on daily basis because of the same man’s creativity. I am sure if you’ve seen one or two episodes of Tom And Jerry and other cartoons, you’ll agree with me that his editor was absolutely wrong!
But what if Walt Disney had given up hope and cried because he was sacked and locked up himself in his house to die? He would have gone to the grave with all those fantastic animations and denied the world of great entertainment.
I guess when we get to heaven we will see what several dead folks denied the world. Walt Disney didn’t weep over a finished bottle of water, he went all out for the seventy wells.
Oprah Winfrey was once fired as a newscaster and she was told, “She’s unfit for television news”. Well she’s still in television talk show business and she has become the richest black woman alive! They collected her bottle of water and she discovered wells of water.
Friend, why are you still crying? The bottle can never be compared to the well. Go for your own wells, there are at least seventy of them.
If only Hagar knew she was in Beersheba she wouldn’t have shed tears; yet she cried in the midst of plenty!
Enough of those tears! Beloved, your seventy wells of Beersheba are yours for the taking, Selah!
To be continued…
