Bread and Water Bottle-2

Genesis 21:14 “And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave [it] unto Hagar, putting [it] on her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba.”
…From yesterday…
Genesis 21:9 “And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, which she had born unto Abraham, mocking.”
The Hebrew word used for mocking is also translated “playing”!
Who knows, Ishmael might have been “playing” with his kid brother, but big Mummy Sarah turned it around and used it as an excuse to fire the lad, and cut him off from the inheritance of his father.
Friend, perhaps you’ve found yourself in this mess or probably going through it right now. I have news for you; God will turn it around. He won’t abandon you. Whatever they gave you is just a loaf of bread and a bottle of water; I want you to get set for God’s BIG surprise.
How do you send a mother and her young son into the desert with nothing? That’s the agenda of men. Assuming Abraham was poor and had nothing we might have excused his behaviour, but that was not the case. I guess Sarah prevailed on him to give them only the bread and water, but God didn’t forget them.
When Sarah thought it was over for them, God came and made them a great promise:
Genesis 21:13 “And also of the son of the bondwoman will I make a nation, because he [is] thy seed.”
God gave them an inheritance from heaven. God gave to them what no man can give. Right there in the desert, he gave them a well!
Genesis 21:19 “And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.”
Friend, what man can give you is limited, but what God can give is limitless. Man gave a bottle of water, but God gave a well!
Friend, brace up and ask God for your well!
To be continued…
