Use and Dump-4

Genesis 21:10 “Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, [even] with Isaac.”
…From yesterday…
Matthew 27:1 “When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:”
He knew they didn’t like Jesus, but he didn’t know their envy and hatred was up to the point of murder. Unfortunately, he fell for the schemes and manipulation of the enemy and became a use and dump material.
Judas felt sorry and cheated. He went back to them, but, sadly, they told him to his face that they were done with him. They had used him to achieve their evil intentions and that’s all!
Matthew 27:4 “saying, “I’ve sinned. I’ve betrayed an innocent man.” They said, “What do we care? That’s your problem!””
They didn’t care about him anymore. Perhaps he was thinking after the betrayal he would become one of them, but they didn’t even bother as much as to look at his side. For you to know it was a case of use and dump, hear them:
Matthew 27:6 “The high priests picked up the silver pieces, but then didn’t know what to do with them. “It wouldn’t be right to give this–a payment for murder!–as an offering in the Temple.””
Matthew 27:7 “They decided to get rid of it by buying the “Potter’s Field” and use it as a burial place for the homeless.” (MSG)
They already knew the money was blood money and could not be brought into the Temple. But they went ahead and gave the money to a willing tool in the person of Judas.
Now, what lessons can we pick from here?
One, don’t be a Sarah that will use people and dump them. Don’t promise people heaven and earth just because you need them at that moment, only to discard them like a piece of rubbish. I have seen leaders do this several times.
To be continued…
