Genesis 21:10 “Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, [even] with Isaac.”

She must have had her own plans, but when her master came calling, she dropped all that to embrace her master’s vision. But, unfortunately, she was thrown out with almost nothing. Hagar was badly used and dumped. Sarah took away her innocence, turned her into a divorcee, made her son fatherless and made both of them homeless. That was as bad as it could be. Poor Hagar and Ishmael!
While meditating on this, the Holy Spirit brought another sad episode of use and dump to my spirit; permit me to share it with you.
Matthew 27:3 “Judas, the one who betrayed him, realized that Jesus was doomed. Overcome with remorse, he gave back the thirty silver coins to the high priests,”
Matthew 27:4 “saying, “I’ve sinned. I’ve betrayed an innocent man.” They said, “What do we care? That’s your problem!””
Matthew 27:5 “Judas threw the silver coins into the Temple and left. Then he went out and hung himself.” (MSG)
Judas Iscariot became a sad victim of use and dump. Yes, we all blame him for his covetousness and betrayal of our Lord Jesus Christ, but working behind the scene to manipulate him were the Chief priest, High priest, the Temple leaders and elders!
I like to believe that Judas in his wildest imagination never thought that the Temple leaders were planning to kill his master.
Matthew 27:1 “When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:”
He knew they didn’t like Jesus, but he didn’t know their envy and hatred was up to the point of murder. Unfortunately, he fell for the schemes and manipulation of the enemy and became a use and dump material.
