Lessons from Abraham, Sarah and Hagar: Divine Visitation-1

Genesis 21:1 “And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken.”
Today, we are starting a new series and the meditation will be on Genesis 21. In this meditation, we will be picking some lessons from the lives of Abraham, Sarah and Hagar.
In our focal scripture, the bible says that “…the LORD visited Sarah as he had said..” The first thing I want us to take note of is that we serve a God that does not fail.
He is not a man; he doesn’t have the ability to lie or break a promise. Hear him:
Numbers 23:19 “God [is] not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do [it]? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?”
Numbers 23:19 “God is no mere human!  He doesn’t tell lies  or change his mind.  God always keeps his promises.” (CEV)
The very best of men can promise you heaven and earth and then fail. They might have good intentions and really want to make good the promise, but something beyond their power can show up and make them fail to fulfil the promise. What if he makes a promise and dies before he could fulfil it?
Friend, the very best of men is very limited. If you must trust anybody, let it be God. He is the only One who cannot fail.
Here, the bible says he visited Sarah. The word visit as used here means “to pay attention to or to attend to”. God showed up in Sarah’s house to pay attention to her and attend to her needs.
Friend, God has not changed, he is still attending to the needs of people. I want you to hold on tight to him and watch him attend to your case.
All through scriptures, when God visited his people there were always turn around miracles. He didn’t visit people for the fun of it; he visited them most importantly to bless them. We have several instances of this in Scripture:
