John 11:43 “And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.”
John 11:43 “Then he shouted, “Lazarus, come out!”” (MASG)
…From yesterday…
Hebrews 4:7 “God keeps renewing the promise and setting the date as today, just as he did in David’s psalm, centuries later than the original invitation: Today, please listen, don’t turn a deaf ear…”
Aren’t you tired of the slum? Why are you still stubborn?
Beloved, if you won’t come out, you will die and decay. Lazarus chose to obey him and he came out.
The truth is that unless you come out and have another view, you may not know you have been in the grave all along.
It doesn’t matter what men have done to you and where they have laid you; you owe yourself the responsibility of coming out! Whatever the place you are, you can come out. The invitation is out again by the Master Himself, the same way he spoke to Lazarus, please listen, don’t turn a deaf ear.
Beloved, your parents and ancestors might have laid you in poverty and backwardness. Yes it is not your fault that they laid you there.
Friend, you can blame others for where you are today but you are to blame if you are still there tomorrow! Take responsibility for your life.
Jesus was simply telling Lazarus to come out from where they laid him. If you can ask a dead man if he likes being placed in a coffin and buried inside dust and dirt, he will tell you an emphatic NO!
A wise man once said that if you don’t have the courage to lose sight of the shore, you will never discover new territories. Jesus is asking you to come out simply because he has a better place for you. He wants to decorate and beautify your life; wouldn’t you rather give it a trial?
If you don’t like where you are or if it is no longer of benefit to you, change! Only trees cannot change because they can’t move, but you are not a tree. So COME OUT!
Love you BiG
