John 11:41 “So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me.” (NIV)

Friend, the answer is simple; they train and prepare for the next competition, next game or next battle!
They build their stamina, muscles and skills. They do things behind the scene that make them ready for any challenge that may show up.
If this happens in the secular, how much more in the spiritual! How do you think you will show up one day and win an Olympic medal without any form of training?
Back to Lazarus graveside, Jesus said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me.” He didn’t say I know you will hear me, he simply said you’ve heard. Lazarus didn’t just get raised; he was already raised and settled before Jesus arrived the scene, because he had prayed. Hear him:
John 11:42 “And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said [it], that they may believe that thou hast sent me.”
Jesus said, “And I knew that thou hearest me always…” That statement indicates just one thing, intimacy!
He was intimate with the Father. He dwelt in the realm of fellowship and relationship with the Father. He spoke to the father always and the father heard him always.
Psalms 23:6 “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.”
Jesus was a dweller in the house, never a visitor! Beloved, it’s time to start relating intimately with the Father and the things of the spirit so that you can also boldly speak like Jesus.
The reason many believers don’t know what to say or whether God will hear them when a challenge shows up is simply because they are yet to relate intimately with him.
Friend, why not make this year a year of developing a good rapport with your Father? Evaluate your relationship with Him today!
