Resurrection and Life-2

John 11:23 “Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.”
John 11:24 “Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”
John 11:25 “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:”
…From yesterday…
Colossians 3:3 “Your old life is dead. Your new life, which is your [real] life–even though invisible to spectators–is with Christ in God. [He] is your life.” (MSG)
When next the enemy shows up to attack your life, let him know your life is in a safe and secured place.
Jesus was however emphatic and authoritative in his response, he said, “…I am the resurrection, and the life…”
He didn’t say, “I have resurrection and life,” he said “I am resurrection and I am life!” It is who I am. That was a powerful statement. He said the thing you call resurrection and life is not a thing, it is a personality, the personality of Christ!
Christ is life itself and what does that tell us? It simply means nothing can die in his hands!
John 11:26 “And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?”
You need to know this much about Christ. He is life itself. He is what gives you vitality. Hear this:
Acts 17:28 “For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.”
Therefore, if we actually live and move and have our being in him, it means outside him we are dead, stagnant and have no being!
Friend, if you don’t have Jesus you simply don’t and can’t have life. You are but a dead man.
I guess you will challenge me by saying but Lazarus knew and had Jesus yet he died. Very true, but here is the gist, he is the custodian of life and life itself.
To be continued…
