Take the Risk-4

John 11:7 “and then he said to his disciples, “Let us go back to Judea.””
John 11:8 “”But Rabbi,” they said, “a short while ago the Jews there tried to stone you, and yet you are going back?”” (NIV)
…From yesterday…
Hear Jesus again:
Matthew 25:28 “‘Take the thousand and give it to the ONE WHO RISKED THE MOST. And get rid of this “play-it-safe” who won’t go out on a limb.” (Emphasis mine)
Risk takers will always succeed.
Jesus was showing the disciples that the way to success is always filed with risks. If Jesus had not taken the risk, we probably might not have known it is possible to bring back a man from the dead after four days.
Helen Keller said, “Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all.”
Jesus showed his disciples that risk means I failed earlier; in fact, I was attacked for trying it earlier, but I will try again. I will give it another shot, even if it means death!
Albert Einstein also said, “A ship is always safe at the shore – but that is NOT what it is built for.”
That has been the bane of several lives. Everybody wants to remain at a comfort zone, but nothing great is ever achieved there. Your ability to take risk will bring you to a comfort zone and give you miracles and outstanding testimonies, but that will be all.
Once you achieve a feat by striving for the next one, don’t remain at that “shore”. There are more lands to conquer!
Beloved, as we saw in this case, the reward is in the risk!
The question is, what risk are you ready to take for God? How far are you ready to go to achieve success?
Remember what Jesus earlier said:
John 11:4 “When Jesus heard [that], he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.”
Jesus knew that in Lazarus’ sickness God would be glorified. He knew it would bring God praise and honour before men.
To be continued…
