Kill Haste-3

John 11:5 “Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.”
John 11:6 “When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was.”
…From yesterday…
Friend, many of us have used haste to worsen a condition we could have handled better if only we had taken some time out to pray and think.
Perhaps you and that your “former bosom friend” would have still been wonderful friends if you had not hastened to attack him with rash words! You might have been able to resolve the matter if you had been patient to listen to him or her.
Haste has destroyed many things in several people’s lives and destiny. We have seen people who in an attempt to get rich quick messed up themselves.
Proverbs 28:20 “A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.”
Proverbs 28:20 “The trustworthy person will get a rich reward, but a person who wants quick riches will get into trouble.” (NLT)
I am sure you remember Gehazi, Elisha’s servant, who because of haste became a leper.
Friend, no matter the situation, take time to think and pray before making a decision. When I rushed to my son’s school, I discovered the situation was not as bad as I thought; he was treated and back to school within two days, but the issue was that I could have been involved in a fatal accident on my way to see him.
The devil strategically gives us some news as a trap or snare in order to cause us grave harm. This is why we cannot but be vigilant and not ignorant of his devices.
I later discovered that if Jesus had rushed to Bethany, he and his disciples might have been killed!
John 11:7 “and then he said to his disciples, “Let us go back to Judea.””
John 11:8 “”But Rabbi,” they said, “a short while ago the Jews there tried to stone you, and yet you are going back?”” (NIV)
