The Jesus Factor-2
John 11:2 “(It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick)”
John 11:3 “So the sisters sent word to Jesus, “Lord, the one you love is sick.””
John 11:5 “Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus.”
Mark 14:8 “She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying.”
Mark 14:9 “Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, [this] also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.”
Mary didn’t just have a relationship with Jesus, she had also built a memorial unto God which would be remembered forever.
Friend, do you have a memorial or a relationship that God can be proud of or boast about? Consider this:
Job 1:8 “And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that [there is] none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?”
Can you imagine the Almighty God, Creator of heaven and earth sharing such testimony about a mortal man! One of his creatures; that is mind blowing. If God were to talk about you what would he say?
Beloved, what are you building in the kingdom of God with the resources in your hand?
The reason many people fall victim to challattarns and false prophets in times of need is simply because they had no memorial with God. So when money fail and they need spiritual power there is nothing to fall back on.
Beloved, learn to sow into the kingdom; anoint the master with your spikenard and you can be sure there will be a monument in your memory in heaven. Hear this:
Psalms 50:5 “Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.”
There are ordinary saints, but there is a special gathering of saints, those who have a covenant of sacrifice.
