Discipline-14

Titus 2:6 “Also, guide the young men to live disciplined lives.”(MSG)
Titus 2:6 “In a similar way, urge the younger men to be self-restrained and to behave prudently [taking life seriously].”(AMP)
…From yesterday…
Our lives are measured in years, hours, minutes and seconds. The summary of our life is time.
If this is true, why waste a second? Life is too precious and short to be wasted on frivolities and things that add no value. Hear this:
Colossians 4:5 “Be wise in your behaviour to those who are outside, making good use of the time.” (BBE)
Ecclesiastes 3:1 “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:”
Ecclesiastes 3:2 “a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot,”
Ecclesiastes 3:7 “a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak,”
A man that has no respect for time is most certainly a foolish man. He is foolish because he is wasting away his very life. Until you cultivate the discipline of respecting time you will always run into error. A lot of things are out of place in the life of many people simply because they have no respect for time. King Solomon puts it clearer:
Ecclesiastes 3:11 “He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.”
Do you want to see beauty around you, in your career, destiny or life? Then cultivate the discipline of time. The beauty of anything can only come out when it is done at the appropriate time. Once the time passes, its beauty is gone. I fear men who have no regard for time.
Please be prompt; keep to time; plan your time; do the right thing at the right time, and respect time. If you’re known with this discipline, life itself will respect you because time is life!
