Discipline-4
Titus 2:6 “Also, guide the young men to live disciplined lives.”(MSG)
Titus 2:6 “In a similar way, urge the younger men to be self-restrained and to behave prudently [taking life seriously].”(AMP)
…From yesterday…
Mark 9:29 “And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.”
That was a very interesting answer. Jesus was simply telling them in a nut-shell that the discipline you fail to imbibe in the secret will always show up at the place of manifestation!
The disciples slept off when they were supposed to be praying and got to the place of manifestation thinking they will just cast out the demons the way Jesus would normally do. But unfortunately for them the demon disgraced them.
Friend, the obstacles and issues of life knows if you have enough stamina and impetus to handle them. They will always try your resolve. The nature of the discipline and training in you will reveal your ability or inability to handle them.
If you see a footballer that gets tired and can not run again after 30 minutes of activity on the field of play, then you know that he has dodged some training and discipline somewhere along the line. Beloved, cultivate the right disciplines into your life and you will always win each time challenges arise.
Discipline like we said earlier, simply means a controlled behaviour or self-control or restraint. It is also a systematic method of obtaining obedience and submission to authority.
Have you ever wondered why they call your job or occupation a discipline? They do because before you can become a Banker, Doctor, Tailor, Engineer, Accountant or Sports man you must have mastered some rules and undergone some training.
No matter how good a doctor is, you will never allow him operate on you if you get to know he only had 2 years of training in the school of medicine all his life!
To be continued…
