Who is in Your Boat?-1

Jonah 1: 4 “But the LORD sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken”
Jonah 1: 5 “Then the mariners were afraid and cried every man unto his god, and cast forth the wares that were in the ship into the sea, to lighten it of them. But Jonah was gone down into the sides of the ship; and he lay and was fast asleep”
I got the inspiration for this piece while on a flight from Abuja (Northern Nigeria) to Lagos (South West Nigeria) to preach for a friend.
We took off normally from the airport; everything seemed cool, but just 10minutes into the flight we ran into a bad weather.  Suddenly the ‘dreaded voice’ of the pilot came up on the microphone, “Ladies and gentle men, we are experiencing a bad turbulence due to the heavy rainfall, we expect this to be over within the next 5 to 10minutes. In the meantime stay calm and please don’t leave your seats.”
I was reading a book. I think I lost every interest in it immediately after hearing the pilot’s voice (laughing). But then, I thought to myself and prayed gently in my heart, I said, “Lord, you know I’m going on an errand for you and you promised to take me to and fro safely, I have known you to always keep your word, so, Father take control.”
With that prayer I rested my case. I was sitting by the window, a woman sat between me and another man. The woman started shaking visibly while muttering to herself; I guess she was praying but I couldn’t hear what she was saying, although her mouth was seriously moving like that of Hannah in the temple.
Personally, I felt peace within and made to continue reading when I heard this dangerous and terrible complaint or should I say prayer from the other co passenger. He said:
To be continued…
