Beloved, what is not going right in your life that has forced your head down? Which king in the world has made you bow? It will interest you to know the name Ahasuerus in the Hebrew means “I will be silent and poor” while the name Haman means “worldly splendor or magnificence”.
Those are two interesting names there. Friend, Ahasuerus and Haman are not just names; they are worldly systems and situations that have held the world bound! Haman is the system that displays worldly wealth, riches and splendour and that asks you to bow before him if you desire it! I am sure you remember what the devil told Jesus:
Matthew 4:8 “Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;”
Matthew 4:9 “And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.”
Matthew 4: 10 “Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence Satan: for it is written Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve”
The devil, operating in the spirit of Haman, came to Jesus and tried to force him to bow; but glory be to God, Jesus defeated him the same way Mordecai did.
Friend, am I saying you shouldn’t desire wealth and riches? Far from it! I am only saying you should be careful where you get it from. Don’t go bowing at an evil altar just because they promise to make you rich!
The spirit of Haman is a demonic force or system that will want to use wealth to force you to compromise your faith; please don’t ever bow!
Ahasuerus on its own part means “I will be silent and poor”. Can you imagine those two combinations, Haman and Ahasuerus?
