The Lion, the Bear and the Giants-13

1 Samuel 17:34 “And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father’s sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock:”
1 Samuel 17:36 “Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God.”
…From yesterday…
When you kill the giant, you get great connections in palaces and high places. There are men and women of power and means God wants to link you with, but for the giant you refuse to kill.
David killed Goliath and he suddenly started to dine with the most important people in the land. Everybody sought audience with him.
He was teaching the generals in the army skills on how to kill lions, bears and giants. Hear this:
1 Samuel 18:2 “And Saul took him that day, and would let him go no more home to his father’s house.”
1 Samuel 18:3 “Then Jonathan and David made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul.”
1 Samuel 18:5 “And David went out whithersoever Saul sent him, [and] behaved himself wisely: and Saul set him over the men of war, and he was accepted in the sight of all the people, and also in the sight of Saul’s servants.”
David started living in the palace. You are probably still living where you are because of the giant you are avoiding. Friend, your palace is waiting.
David became the best friend to the king’s son, Jonathan. Jonathan might never have met David but for Goliath. That giant is about to introduce you to “Jonathan”.
The name Jonathan means, “Jehovah or God has given”!
That is interesting! Friend, every time you kill a giant, you get introduced to what God can give and has given! Hear this:
1 Corinthians 16:9 “For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and [there are] many adversaries.”
