The Lion, the Bear and the Giants-9

1 Samuel 17:34 “And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father’s sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock:”
1 Samuel 17:36 “Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God.”
…From yesterday…
Finally, David stated categorically that they took a lamb, not a sheep. A lamb is simply sheep at infancy, as we stated earlier.
The lamb represents your gifts, talents and seed of greatness, which are yet to develop fully. Beloved, grow your lamb, feed your lamb, till it becomes a sheep.
It is easier for the lion and bear to take a lamb, compared to a sheep. A sheep speaks of maturity. A sheep knows and understands the antics of the lion more than a lamb.
Friend, grow your gifts and talents, don’t remain an infant in the things of the Spirit. God expects us to grow:
Hebrews 5:12 “For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which [be] the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.”
Hebrews 5:13 “For every one that useth milk [is] unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.”
Hebrews 5:14 “But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, [even] those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”
The bible says that a matured Christian or a sheep can “…discern both good and evil.” They can know when the lion and the bear are stalking them. Some lambs even wander off to play with lions and bears; they are so immature to recognise the difference.
Friend, grow up and also develop your gifts to such an extent that it can no longer be hidden. Take it beyond their reach!
To be continued…
