The Lion, the Bear and the Giants-6
1 Samuel 17:34 “And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father’s sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock:”
1 Samuel 17:36 “Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God.”
…From yesterday…
Friend, don’t let the lions of this world steal your future neither let the bears afflict you with your past. You can have a new beginning in Christ. That is why the bible says,
2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
2 Corinthians 5:17 “Now we look inside, and what we see is that anyone united with the Messiah gets a fresh start, is created new. The old life is gone; a new life burgeons! Look at it!”(MSG)
To qualify for the future God wants for you, you must have a fresh start with Him and this begins with giving your life to Christ. Becoming born again is what gives you the license to deal with the lions and the bears. If you’ve not known Christ, you’re toying with your lamb in the presence of the lion and bear.
You need to deal with them permanently. David knew this and he put the lion and the bear where they belonged by rescuing his precious lamb!
We must also take note that both the lion and the bear “stalk” their prey before attacking them.
I saw two interesting dictionary meanings of the word “stalking”:
Stalking means to “hunt for game by moving silently and stealthily or by waiting in ambush.” The second one is “the crime of following or harassing another person, causing him or her to fear death or injury”.
These are strategic arsenals that the enemy directs towards us. If the devil sees he cannot snatch your lamb, he lays ambush by stalking.
To be continued…
