The Lion, the Bear and the Giants-5

1 Samuel 17:34 “And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father’s sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock:”
1 Samuel 17:36 “Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God.”
…From yesterday…
Eliab might have killed his lamb by saying in his heart, “Let me just get to the throne, I will so oppress the people, change my walking steps, show them I have arrived,” etc.
We may never know what eliminated him, but we must understand that we will all face the lion and the bear as prerequisites to occupying our thrones! These are two important things to fight on our journey to destiny.
You would recall also that the lion attacks from the front, while the bear attacks from the back. What does this mean?
It means lions want to take your future, while bears want your past to take you down!
While the lion is attacking you from the front, ensuring you do things that will destroy your life, the bear want things from your past to torment you.
The lion for example will say, “Smoke and ingest dangerous stuff into your body today,” thereby reducing your life span.
The bear will come at you and say,
“You’re from a poor background, who is your father in Israel?”
“Your skin colour can’t allow them to give you the position”
“You’re too short, too tall, too skinny, too fat or too unqualified for the position.”
The bear will want to make sure your background puts your back on the ground!
Friend, don’t let the lions of this world steal your future, neither let the bears afflict you with your past. You can have a new beginning in Christ. That is why the bible says,
2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
To be continued…
