Embrace Something Brand New -10
Isaiah 43:19 “Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new. It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it? There it is! I’m making a road through the desert, rivers in the badlands.”(MSG)
If only Peter had gone back to search the scripture to understand God’s agenda for the gentile nation, he would have embraced the new.
Friend, break the backbone of tradition and embrace the newness that God is bringing. God loves the new, and so must you!
Secondly, you must develop a daring spirit. A daring spirit is such that is willing to take risks against all odds by acting on the instruction of God, rather than the philosophies, tradition and permutations of men.
Acts 5:29 “Then Peter and the [other] apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.”
Who will you obey? Men, situations, circumstances or traditions?
Friend, become bold and daring to go all the way with God!
To be daring means to develop an inner confidence and courage to take risks in the face of danger and fear! It means to become adventurous, willing to take on challenges. It means to become courageous or show bravery.
Don’t you think Moses was afraid when he was told to step into the Red Sea for it to part way? Don’t you think the children of Israel were scared walking through the sea on dry ground?
Try and imagine walking on a land bounded on both sides by a high wall of raging water. Perhaps they could even see giant fishes like whales and sharks staring at them from the high wall of water!
Sure they were afraid, but they acted despite their fears; that is what being daring is all about!
Friend, hear what God told Peter once again:
Acts 10:13 “And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.”
Peter was told to be daring! Beloved, God is still saying the same thing today: Rise, kill and eat! Go for it! Selah!
