Embrace Something Brand New -3

Isaiah 43:19 “Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new. It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it? There it is! I’m making a road through the desert, rivers in the badlands.”(MSG)
…From yesterday…
If only Peter had tried something new and taken the risk! Your guess is as good as mine; he would have been the author of 75% of the New Testament that Paul wrote.
The newness that Peter rejected was wholly embraced by Apostle Paul who went ahead and became a stand out preacher to the whole world.
We are all beneficiaries of what Peter rejected but which Paul embraced. Peter rejected the opportunity to bring the gospel to a new set of people (Us), the Gentiles, but Paul took up the challenge. Paul was ready to try out something new by going on an adventure with the Lord.
Friend, how many times have you done that? How many times have you refused to go out on a limb? To even try to travel to a new place you hear people say, “I’ve not gone there before.” Ask them, “Will you go or give it a trial?” They reply, “No!”
Beloved, life is full of risks and risk takers are history makers. People that dared the impossible by embracing “newness” are the ones we are reading about today! What will be said about you in some years to come? What will generations after you remember you for? Will your world remember you and thank you for trying out something new or remember you for staying within the confines of “reasoning” and taking no risks?
The world belongs to men and women who are ready to try out something new by daring the impossible! I love Elizabeth, the mother of John the Baptist. Hear this:
Luke 1:59 “And it came to pass, that on the eighth day they came to circumcise the child; and they called him Zacharias, after the name of his father.”
Luke 1:60 “And his mother answered and said, Not [so]; but he shall be called John.”
To be continued…
