Glorious Return-2

Luke 9:52 “And sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him.”
Luke 9:53 “And they did not receive him…”
Luke 9:56 “…And they went to another village.”
…From yesterday…
Suddenly, the once “disappointing” Pogba is now the most expensive football player in history, and his new coach, Jose Mourinho, another world class coach said, “Finally. It’s amazing that such a good player is with us.” How ironic!
Let’s go back to our focal scripture. Jesus and his disciples “entered into a village of the Samaritans” after sending some messengers ahead, but those Samaritan folks rejected them out rightly. He got there and they sent him packing. They gave him no chance at all, so Jesus had to leave.
In fact, his disciples were so angry at the manner of his “sent forth” that they wanted to even destroy the city.
Luke 9:54 “And when his disciples James and John saw [this], they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did?”
We can picture from that statement that the manner of their rejection must have been very humiliating. They saw no value in the great prophet and instead of allowing him to leave in peace they literally pushed him out.
Friend, you might have fallen victim of such humiliating experience before, but the fact that people don’t value you or feel you have overstayed your welcome and pushed you out shouldn’t mark the end of your life!
You should never allow any man put your back on the ground. They might have even used and dumped you thinking you’re finished, that is simply the nature of men.
If they push you out, please leave and don’t slam the door in their face. You don’t expect them to act beyond their level of knowledge. No man knows all that God has deposited on your inside.
To be continued…
