The Power of Innovation-12
Genesis 30:37 “And Jacob took him rods of green poplar, and of the hazel and chesnut tree; and pilled white strakes in them, and made the white appear which [was] in the rods.”
Genesis 30:38 “And he set the rods which he had pilled before the flocks in the gutters in the watering troughs when the flocks came to drink, that they should conceive when they came to drink.”
Genesis 30:39 “And the flocks conceived before the rods, and brought forth cattle ringstraked, speckled, and spotted.”

Another means of developing an innovative mind is by reading and doing deep study. You must become a studious man, both of the bible, and of course, other inspirational materials.
Let me show you a case study from the life of Christ.
Matthew 19:3 “The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?”
Matthew 19:4 “And he answered and said unto them, HAVE YE NOT READ, that he which made [them] at the beginning made them male and female,”
During Jesus’ earthly stay, he was constantly attacked by the Pharisees, Sadducees and other teachers of the law. But he always finished them off with so much creativity, panache and innovation.
One thing you will however see in many of his replies to them is this phrase, “HAVE YE NOT READ…”!
In the above encounter, they wanted to fence him on the issue of divorce, but he finished them off with that singular phrase.
It was not just in this encounter, but in several as well. Let me show you some:
Matthew 22:31 “But as touching the resurrection of the dead, HAVE YE NOT READ that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,”
Luke 6:3 “And Jesus answering them said, HAVE YE NOT READ so much as this, what David did, when himself was an hungred, and they which were with him;”
They all eventually came to one conclusion:
