Genesis 30:37 “And Jacob took him rods of green poplar, and of the hazel and chesnut tree; and pilled white strakes in them, and made the white appear which [was] in the rods.”
Genesis 30:38 “And he set the rods which he had pilled before the flocks in the gutters in the watering troughs when the flocks came to drink, that they should conceive when they came to drink.”

Genesis 30:39 “And the flocks conceived before the rods, and brought forth cattle ringstraked, speckled, and spotted.”

Sir Isaac Newton, who gave us the laws of gravity and motion; Francis Collins, who helped complete a groundbreaking research into human DNA and gene sequences.
Time will fail me to mention Francis Bacon, Gregor Mendel, Nicolaus Copernicus, Blaise Pascal and Albert Einstein. You can Google them up.
But the gist is this, they made ground breaking discoveries and inventions, and they were all believers! They got their innovations from God, the Master Mind.
To become innovative, be in tune with Abba, the Source!
Even when Jesus needed an innovation on how to use two fishes and five loaves to feed five thousand famished men, he got in touch with the Source!
Matthew 14:19 “And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and LOOKING UP TO HEAVEN, HE BLESSED, and brake, and gave the loaves to [his] disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.”
If Jesus had to look up to heaven for innovation, you too better look up.
Another means of developing an innovative mind is by reading and doing deep study. You must become a studious man, both of the Bible and, of course, other inspirational materials.
Let me show you a case study from the life of Christ.
Matthew 19:3 “The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?”
