Little Foxes-9
Song of Solomon 2:15 “Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines [have] tender grapes.”
Song of Solomon 2:15 “Our vineyards are in blossom; we must catch the little foxes that destroy the vineyards.”(CEV)
…From yesterday…
Let me explain. I’ve discovered that many adults and elderly believers easily disregard those they are older than, and, especially if they got born again before such people. They disregard the young pastor, young evangelist, young cell leader, etc.
They naturally feel that the demonstration of faith is a function of age! Friend, demonstration of faith and getting results in the kingdom is tied to the growth of your faith. If you got born again before you gave birth to your son, but he decides to use his faith and grows it more than you do, he will sure produce more results than you do.
Beloved, nobody will grow your faith for you; the responsibility is on you to do that. As long as you allow the fox of little faith dominate your life, you will remain a baby Christian, and the danger of remaining a baby is that you will always have little things, which may even be taken away from you.
Peter started walking on water, but little faith fox made him sink. We must be careful not to keep our faith little.
As we begin to round up this piece, I know the question on your mind is, “How do I handle these little foxes?”
There are peculiar ways of handling the different foxes; but we will use a holistic approach. Let us go back to our focal scripture:
Song of Solomon 2:15 “Our vineyards are in blossom; we must catch the little foxes that destroy the vineyards.”(CEV)
Song of Solomon 2:15 “Catch all the foxes, those little foxes, before they ruin the vineyard of love, for the grapevines are blossoming!”(NLT)
The word “take” as used in “Take us the foxes…” is translated to mean: grasp, take hold, seize, take possession, catch or capture.
To be continued…
