Little Foxes-8
Song of Solomon 2:15 “Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines [have] tender grapes.”
Song of Solomon 2:15 “Our vineyards are in blossom; we must catch the little foxes that destroy the vineyards.”(CEV)
…From yesterday…
The last little fox I want to talk about is what I call, “little faith”. Hear what Jesus said:
Matthew 14:31 “And immediately Jesus stretched forth [his] hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?”
The statement above was made by Jesus to Peter when he started sinking after walking on water for a while. Jesus made us understand from His statement that the end result of little faith is doubt, which invariably causes the destiny of a man to sink.
One dangerous zone we must not dwell in as believers is the zone of doubt and unbelief. Doubt is caused by little faith, which is a deadly fox as well.
The truth of the matter is this: we all started out with the same measure of faith when we gave our lives to Christ.
Romans 12:3 “For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think [of himself] more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as GOD HATH DEALT TO EVERY MAN THE MEASURE OF FAITH.”
God is just and so gave each of us the same measure; however, over a period of time some people start producing outstanding results which look unbelievable, while others can’t even pray for simple things despite the fact that they got born again same day.
One problem in Christianity that makes people envious and disrespect spiritual authority is the issue of how long we’ve been serving God.
Let me explain. I’ve discovered that many adults and elderly believers easily disregard those they are older than, and, especially if they got born again before such people. They disregard the young pastor, young evangelist, young cell leader, etc.
To be continued…
