Maturity-3

1 Corinthians 13:11 “When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things”.
…From yesterday…
I’ve seen believers and pastors who can preach the word of God with fire but who know nothing about showing compassion and loving others. They are Huios in preaching but Nepios in demonstration of love.
If such a man is a pastor over a church and he’s believing God for tremendous growth of his church, it might become difficult for God to help His church grow because this man will sure mismanage the people. God will not gather His people for a careless man to scatter!
The desire of God is for us all to become mature so that we can discuss and reason at His level. Galatians 4:1-3 clearly shows us this.
Friend, there are things you seriously desire and pray for, but you keep seeing in the hands of others who are probably not even Christians, and you’re sad. The simple issue is this:
Galatians 4:2 “But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.”
Galatians 4:3 “Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:”
Those things are in the hands of tutors, governors and even elements of this world waiting for you to mature! God loves you so much as His beloved Nepios but will not want to give you a blessing that can kill you!
If you want the very best of God simply grow up!
Now let’s get back to our focal scripture. One interesting thing we can see from this verse is that becoming and behaving like a child is automatic, but becoming a man talking about maturity requires an effort.
Apostle Paul said, “When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child…”(1Corinthians 13:11a) Everything a child does is automatic. There is a format of behaviour which a child simply follows.
To be continued…
