1 Samuel 11:2 “And Nahash the Ammonite answered them, On this [condition] will I make [a covenant] with you, that I may thrust out all your right eyes, and lay it [for] a reproach upon all Israel.”
One reason prayer seems not to walk for many people is because of what they say at the place of prayer. This takes me to the last weapon in this series called the Word! The Word of God!
You can never pray a prayer that heaven will attend to if you don’t speak the language of heaven!
The bible is the word of God. It is the embodiment of everything God is, how He behaves and speaks. If you talk to Him outside His Word, He doesn’t understand what you’re saying.
His word is His will and His language. Speak it and get His attention. Hear this:
James 4:3 “Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume [it] upon your lusts.”
The Word amiss here means wrongly. So “ye ask amiss” means you speak wrongly. Beloved, it’s high time you learned to speak correctly by increasing the word content of your prayer.
The word of God defeats the enemy each time it is spoken. Jesus showed us how to deal with the archenemy, i.e. the devil, by using the word as a weapon against him.
Matthew 4:4 “But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”
Imagine Jesus not knowing what was written; the enemy would have leaked him and gained the upper hand. Know what is written and you’ll see the enemy fall like a pack of cards.
The weapons, like I said, earlier might look dummy but then remember…
1 Corinthians 1:27 “But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;”
You will never lose a fight again in Jesus name.
