Judges 3:1 “These are the nations that GOD left there, using them to test the Israelites who had no experience in the Canaanite wars.”
Judges 3:2 “He did it to train the descendants of Israel, the ones who had no battle experience, in the art of war.”(MSG)
Judges 3: 2 “Only that the generations of the children of Israel might know to teach them war, at the least such as before knew nothing thereof;” (KJV)
Mike Murdock said, “Warfare always surrounds the birth of a miracle”. This statement is so true and we cannot over flog the issue.
This piece is sequel to the last one and I believe the Holy Spirit wants us to follow up on the previous lessons, so that we never forget them. I also believe He wants us to have the right perspective to warfare and issues in our lives that seem not to go away.
I love our focal scripture in this piece. It contains truths that can set us free forever and bring out the warrior in us.
In this scripture, God Himself said something very, very interesting. He told the children of Israel that He purposely left some nations unconquered in the Promised Land so that He could teach them war!
In our contemporary days, this simply means that those unresolved issues in our lives are there to teach us war! God purposely left them there to bring out the fighter in us and keep us active and alive! He wants to make sure we don’t grow too comfortable around the enemy and on earth.
When the full meaning of this text hit me, several things became apparent in my life and those of others. Beloved, that stubborn issue in your life is still there to keep you on your feet and bring out the fighter in you. God wants to use it to strengthen your spirit man. Once you overcome it promotion comes and you naturally move to the next level.
Once you get to the next level, it’s a different ball game.
