1 Samuel 11:1 “Then Nahash the Ammonite came up, and encamped against Jabeshgilead: and all the men of Jabesh said unto Nahash, Make a covenant with us, and we will serve thee.”
1 Samuel 11:2 “And Nahash the Ammonite answered them, On this [condition] will I make [a covenant] with you, that I may thrust out all your right eyes, and lay it [for] a reproach upon all Israel.”

If there is a man to learn warfare from it is definitely David. He told us about this weapon called Praise and why it can never fail. Hear him:
Psalm 47:7 “For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding”
Psalm 22:3 “But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.”
Those two statements are loaded with the secret behind praise. The first thing he told us about praise is that it must be done with understanding.
Many people praise God, but lack the requisite knowledge of what they are doing. Understanding talks about comprehension. If you don’t understand what you’re doing it won’t work for you.
David then went ahead and told us what we need to understand about praise. He made us understand that Praise is powerful simply because anywhere it is used, GOD comes there! Anytime we render praise to God He shows up to enjoy the music. You can’t praise God without Him leaving His seat to come dance!
Here is where it gets interesting; when God shows up enemies are discomfited and scattered! God cannot arise and “His enemies by implication” your enemies remain intact.
Psalm 68:1 “Let God arise let his enemies be scattered let them also that hate him flee before him.”
Nothing can hold God down. God cannot be caged, suppressed or stopped. When he shows up Victory shows up. One day Paul and Silas were held in prison. They were not even allowed to walk around in prison; they were chained down. I would have thought holding them behind bars was enough, but chaining them down in prison was sheer wickedness.
