1 Samuel 11:1 “Then Nahash the Ammonite came up, and encamped against Jabeshgilead: and all the men of Jabesh said unto Nahash, Make a covenant with us, and we will serve thee.”
1 Samuel 11:2 “And Nahash the Ammonite answered them, On this [condition] will I make [a covenant] with you, that I may thrust out all your right eyes, and lay it [for] a reproach upon all Israel.”

In the same vein, the devil has thrown different attacks on several believers, but rather than fight, they keep looking for ways to appease him.
That wicked boss told you he won’t give you the contract, and all you did was send somebody to him to find out what bribe he wants!
The lecturer said you will fail his course, and you sent people to find out what he wants. Then he said your body! He said you cannot pass his course unless you sleep with him.
They kept denying you promotion in your office. You wanted “peace”, so they told you to join a secret cult!
Those are scenarios we come across daily in our world. The “Nahash” decendants are still very much around with devilish agenda, but, unfortunately, we don’t go back to the bible to discover how to handle them! Nothing is new under the sky; it has happened before, and is still happening.
Serpent Nahash gave those guys a rude awakening! His demand was shocking:
1 Samuel 11:2 “And Nahash the Ammonite answered them, On this [condition] will I make [a covenant] with you, that I may thrust out all your right eyes, and lay it [for] a reproach upon all Israel.”
He demanded for the right eye of every male in Israel! Who does that? The devil, of course! They had agreed to be slaves, which was bad enough, but then he still demanded for their right eyes!
The devil is wicked. They diagnosed you with headache, and you said, “No problem, just give me a pain killer (appeasing the headache or Nahash).
