1 Samuel 11:1 “Then Nahash the Ammonite came up, and encamped against Jabeshgilead: and all the men of Jabesh said unto Nahash, Make a covenant with us, and we will serve thee.”
1 Samuel 11:2 “And Nahash the Ammonite answered them, On this [condition] will I make [a covenant] with you, that I may thrust out all your right eyes, and lay it [for] a reproach upon all Israel.”

The devil is the custodian of evil and when he comes calling, the GOOD GOD expects us to rise to the occasion and fight him so bad that he will run with his tail between his legs!
God is not a weakling; He will go to any length to protect us, his children.
Jesus came to redeem us from the curse of hell and power of the devil, but he didn’t take the power to heaven, he gave it to us to maintain the conquered territory in his absence. He has given us power and authority over the enemy (Luke 10:19), and this is not for decoration; he expects us to use it daily to maintain our territory.
Jesus said,”…Occupy till I come.”(Luke 19:13). He said, “Take new territories and also maintain the ones I left for you!”
There are several things a believer is likened to; one that stands out and is repeated several times is that he is a Soldier!
2 Timothy 2:3 “Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.”
2 Timothy 2:4 “No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of [this] life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.”
In case you don’t know it, soldiers fight! They don’t just sit and eat in the barracks. Why do you think the country next door have not taken over your land and country? The answer is not far-fetched, they won’t do that because they know your country has soldiers maintaining her territorial integrity.
It’s the same way we have the commission and must carry out our Master’s order!
