2 Corinthians 11:26 “[In] journeyings often, [in] perils of waters, [in] perils of robbers, [in] perils by [mine own] countrymen, [in] perils by the heathen, [in] perils in the city, [in] perils in the wilderness, [in] perils in the sea, [in] perils among false brethren;”

Philippians 3:13 “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but [this] one thing [I do], forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,”
Focus is the ability to concentrate effort and energy on a particular task at a particular time. Men of great success are men of singular focus.
Paul said this “one thing” I do. He didn’t say these things I do. Moses’ focus was moving the Israelites from Egypt to the promised land. Joshua the same. Apostle Paul’s mission was to preach to the Gentiles.
Jesus’ focus was salvation of mankind. Hear him:
John 18:37 “Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.”
As God as Jesus was he said he came for one thing and was born for one thing! At a time they wanted to make him king but he refused; he never allowed distraction; he was focused on the “one thing”.
He saw the cross, he saw nails, he saw the stripes, the death, yet he said, “Those things don’t move me! The only thing that is captivating my attention is the purpose for which I was born.”
His one thing took him through the pains to the throne! The question is, “to what end were you born?” Find it and mount your own throne, Selah!
