Dogged-11

2 Corinthians 11:25 “Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep;”
2 Corinthians 11:26 “[In] journeyings often, [in] perils of waters, [in] perils of robbers, [in] perils by [mine own] countrymen, [in] perils by the heathen, [in] perils in the city, [in] perils in the wilderness, [in] perils in the sea, [in] perils among false brethren;”
…From yesterday…
Another thing that birth doggedness as seen in the life of Apostle Paul is what I call “Passion and conviction”. Hear him:
1 Corinthians 16:13 “Keep your eyes open, hold tight to your convictions, give it all you’ve got, be resolute,”(MSG)
1 Thessalonians 1:5 “When the Message we preached came to you, it wasn’t just words. Something happened in you. The Holy Spirit put steel in your convictions…”(MSG)
Paul, also known as Saul of Tarsus, was formally a persecutor of the church who became zealous beyond all his contemporaries. He developed a conviction beyond human comprehension.
Conviction means a firmly held belief, a dogged belief that something is true. Paul was convinced of the existence, capability, truth and ability of God, He was hyper-sure that God was with him and can do just about anything for him.
2 Timothy 1:12 “For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.”
2 Timothy 1:12 “It’s also the cause of all this trouble I’m in. But I have no regrets. I couldn’t be more sure of my ground–the One I’ve trusted in can take care of what he’s trusted me to do right to the end.”(MSG)
Friend, how convinced are you about the personality of God? How convinced are you about your assignment, vision, purpose and the abilities God has deposited on your inside?
To be continued…
