2 Corinthians 11:25 “Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep;”
2 Corinthians 11:26 “[In] journeyings often, [in] perils of waters, [in] perils of robbers, [in] perils by [mine own] countrymen, [in] perils by the heathen, [in] perils in the city, [in] perils in the wilderness, [in] perils in the sea, [in] perils among false brethren;”
…From yesterday…
Ali was so determined and dogged in hunting for the man who stole his bike. Well, we may never know if he found the bike, but he found boxing!
He gave up everything he was doing just to catch a criminal and few years down the line, he was a world boxing champion! Purpose drove him to fulfilment! A man of purpose is ready to endure anything in the pursuit of it!
Friend, what are you willing to endure to become the man in your dreams? Hear Paul, a man of purpose again:
Philippians 3:13 “Friends, don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward–to Jesus.”
Philippians 3:14 “I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back.”
Philippians 3:15 “So let’s keep focused on that goal, those of us who want everything God has for us. If any of you have something else in mind, something less than total commitment, God will clear your blurred vision–you’ll see it yet!”(MSG)
Friend, all those ugly stuff are set up to break your focus. The devil is fighting tooth and nail to dissuade you from your purpose. Know his antics and never you give up!
Maintain focus, never lose sight of your goals and aspirations, they’ll allow you take “the punches of life” without giving up.
Purpose births doggedness!
Another thing that birth doggedness as seen in the life of Apostle Paul is what I call “Passion and conviction”. Hear him:
