2 Corinthians 11:25 “Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep;”
2 Corinthians 11:26 “[In] journeyings often, [in] perils of waters, [in] perils of robbers, [in] perils by [mine own] countrymen, [in] perils by the heathen, [in] perils in the city, [in] perils in the wilderness, [in] perils in the sea, [in] perils among false brethren;”
…From yesterday…
This story is one of a “Never-Say-Die Attitude”, which is another way of saying dogged! The Roeblings proved against all odds that dreams can come true, no matter the obstacles.
The impossible can be realised with determination and persistence.
Hear Apostle Paul again:
Acts 20:24 “But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.”
I love this man. Earlier in that passage, he said he knew there would be problems and challenges ahead, BUT none of those things moved him! What a determination! NONE OF THESE THINGS MOVE ME!
Friend, how many things have moved you or are still moving you away from your dreams and assignment? How many times have you had to shift or change your focus because something moved you?
Paul further asked another serious question, providing another interesting answer:
Romans 8:35 “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? [shall] tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?”
Romans 8:38 “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,”
Romans 8:39 “Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
To be continued…
