Dogged-2

2 Corinthians 11:25 “Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep;”

2 Corinthians 11:26 “[In] journeyings often, [in] perils of waters, [in] perils of robbers, [in] perils by [mine own] countrymen, [in] perils by the heathen, [in] perils in the city, [in] perils in the wilderness, [in] perils in the sea, [in] perils among false brethren;”

The challenge Apostle Paul is throwing to us in this piece is, “What are you ready to give up to achieve your dreams?”
One characteristic of every achiever is doggedness.
They keep going even with the last breath in their nostrils. As long as they can breathe, they keep going.
Friend, how far are you ready to go in pursuance of your God given dreams and visions? Perhaps the reason your dreams have refused to come true is your lack of determination. I have met so many folks who have great and enviable dreams but who lack the commitment and determination to see them through.
Many people give up simply because somebody told them it is impossible to achieve a feat. They don’t even wait to be flogged with rod or stoned before they abandon an assignment.
Many people have a lot of abandoned projects in their lives all because they gave up at slightest sign of discomfort. But the truth is that no matter what we do, without a dogged determination we will always quit mid-way.
Apostle Paul suffered all the above mentioned perils yet he travelled across the entire known world, spreading the message about Jesus and establishing churches everywhere he went. He did it against all odds. How far can you go to get your dreams achieved?
