Philippians 3:17 “Brethren, join in following my example, and note those who so walk, as you have us for a pattern.” (NKJV)
Philippians 3:17 “Stick with me, friends. Keep track of those you see running this same course, headed for this same goal.”(MSG)
Hebrews 6:12 “That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.”
…From yesterday…
They don’t have what it takes to stop you! If your giant is anger, for instance, when next it comes, just stand up and tell it, “I refuse to get angry”, and you will be shocked that it will just fade away.
No giant is strong enough to break your focus. You have respected Goliath for too long; treat him like a nonentity and move up to that next level you’ve longed for!
Follow the example of David, not forgetting that Joshua also did same thing to take over the Promised Land. Your own Promised Land is waiting, if you’ll only be brave enough to confront the Amalekites!
Do you know that Jesus had to conquer giants too? Giants of greed, lack of patience, materialism and his flesh in order to obtain the greatest name in heaven, on earth and beneath the earth. What do you think would have happened if Jesus had bowed to those giants when the devil brought them his way during his temptation?
Remember; just as Goliath only spoke words to harass the Israelites so the devil spoke inwardly to Jesus. The devil’s tactics have not changed. So, go load yourself with some truths from God’s word and then run towards the giant. Go for it!
The next man I want us to learn from in this series, as we begin to round it up, is the man called Apostle Peter. Historians said he was the first Pope of the church. The truth of the matter is that he was the one Christ built and committed the church to and he didn’t fail heaven.
To be continued…
