Hebrews 6:12 “That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.”
…From yesterday…
God told him to offer his son, and, without thinking twice no asking questions, he got up and embarked on the journey. Hear what he told his servants:
Genesis 22:5 “And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you.”
Abraham was indeed a great risk taker. He told the young men that he and his son would go worship God and return! The question is: what if he actually had to use Isaac for the sacrifice?
Well, Abraham knew what most people in his days and even our days don’t know! He knew that, “You cannot take a risk with God and lose”. God is too faithful to fail. I am sure Abraham knew that even if he had to sacrifice Isaac, God would accept the sacrifice and bring the young man back to life!
You cannot lose when you take a risk with God! The three Hebrew boys knew this truth as well. Hear them:
Daniel 3:17 “If it be [so], our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver [us] out of thine hand, O king.”
Daniel 3:18 “But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.”
Those boys were dangerous risk takers; but then they knew deep within them that you don’t take a risk with God and lose.
Friend, taking risk is daring God! When God tells you something, and you dare Him at his word He will come true for you.
