The first man we will be learning from is Adam, the husband of Eve, our very first parents.
The lesson we will be learning from them is that of hearing instructions and obeying them to the letter. My Father in the Lord said that a man can either learn by instruction or destruction.
Instruction always saves from destruction. God gave them an instruction not to eat from a particular tree, but they chose to listen to a contrary voice. Unfortunately, it was the voice of the devil, and when they did all hell was let loose.
Friend, the best place to hear an instruction is from the mouth of God. The bible is principally an instruction manual.
2 Timothy 3:16 “All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:”
Every blessing that comes to a man is traceable to an instruction he obeyed somewhere; similarly, every failure a man experiences most times is traceable to the violation of an instruction. Our first parents didn’t just violate an instruction; they violated the instruction of God Almighty.
Beloved, God is the ancient of days and the All Knowing One. If He tells you to do something or not to do something, trust me, He knows what He’s talking about. He has been around for a very long time!
He has seen people enjoy blessings and seen many great failures. He has not just seen them; He can give a detailed account of how it happened.
