Hebrews 6:12 “That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.”
…From yesterday…
Nothing should therefore scare us. Every case or situation you find yourself has occurred before. Why we panic most times is that we’ve not seen the worked example.
If we are patient and will carefully search the scriptures we will definitely find an example to tap wisdom from.
In the actual sense, wisdom is the ability to fish out a worked example in the word of God which can be applied to our current situation positively. The bible is simply a book of examples packaged to make our journey on earth smooth, stress free and enjoyable.
Our God is a God of examples, He is not a wicked teacher. He has compiled a great deal of examples for us to follow in life so that we can avoid errors of the past and also pick up courage to rise to our maximum potential. That’s why He said:
Isaiah 51:1 “”Listen to Me, you who follow after righteousness, You who seek the LORD: Look to the rock [from which] you were hewn, And to the hole of the pit [from which] you were dug.””
Isaiah 51:2 “Look to Abraham your father, And to Sarah [who] bore you; For I called him alone, And blessed him and increased him.”
The above scripture tells us categorically that God wants us to learn from Abraham. God said He called Abraham alone as a single lowly man but made him rich and prosperous. God set him up for you and I to let us know that it doesn’t matter where we are in life, we can become outstanding success stories.
If you’re poor with nothing, you can become rich.
