Handle the Problem-12
Exodus 14:16 “But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.”
…From yesterday…
Too much analysis always lead to paralysis. Just march forward; lift up your rod and let God have His way.
We are the ones standing on God’s path, preventing Him from acting. Stand in your place and let God move. Stop preventing God from moving or acting on your behalf!
In closing, let us take one more look at this sentence, “But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it…” (Exodus 14:16).
By God saying stretch your hand, it means stretch what God has committed into your hand. Be it business, talent, trade, destiny, etc. It means stretch yourself! Expand, enlarge and put pressure on yourself to become better at what you do.
God is saying you should extend your talents; reach more people, sell and market your gifts over a sea of possibilities! The sea might be an opposition. You don’t just get what you want from the sea; you work it out by dividing it.
Place a demand on it. A fisher man will not just go to the sea and ask for fish, neither will a miner or oil company
go and ask for crude oil from the sea; they explore and dig deep. It takes a lot of work.
It might offer resistance, but stretch your talent; your responsibility is to stretch your rod and ask for heaven’s approval by lifting it up to Him, acknowledging Him as the giver, and then tell the problem or sea what you want from it.
The word “stretch” in the Hebrew apart from meaning to extend also means to overthrow or cause to yield! God is simply saying when you extend your talent, your opposition and challenges will be overthrown and caused to yield! Beloved Stretch!!
You are a creature of power and authority; that is why God told Moses to divide it. Do it the way you want!
