Curing Lameness-10
Acts 3:1 “Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, [being] the ninth [hour].”
Acts 3:2 “And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;”
Acts 3:3 “Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.”
…From yesterday…
In the next verse Apostle Peter made an outstanding statement loaded with principles. Hear him:
Acts 3:6 “Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.”
Peter proved a point to us here; what made you qualified as a person who others can look unto is not the physical cash you’re carrying and laboring hard to get! It is not all about the physical, it is about the immaterial. What you can produce from within.
Your wealth in not in the bank or in your fat purse. It is in your fat Spirit!
Ephesians 3:16 “That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man”
What God wants from us is the strength and development of our spirit man, knowing fully well that when he is developed it will become easy to produce on the outside whatever we want! That was why Solomon said, “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” (Proverbs 4:23)
Jesus proved this principle to his disciples severally. Let’s pick a case study:
Luke 10:4 “Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way.”
Here Jesus sent his disciples on a mission and told them to carry no purse! How do you send people on an errand and refuse to mobilize them? Well, that was exactly what Jesus did here.
