Curing Lameness-5

Acts 3:1 “Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, [being] the ninth [hour].”
Acts 3:2 “And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;”
Acts 3:3 “Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.”
…From yesterday…
Obadiah 1:17 “But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.”
It is a place of deliverance and recovery of lost possessions or “lameness”. It is a place of beauty, that’s one reason it is called Beautiful.
This man was lame, begging for alms at a beautiful place, a place of deliverance and recovery. He was around beauty but there was nothing beautiful about his life. Are you feeling like that this moment? I want you to know there is hope for you. Your own beauty can emerge as well.
I discovered however that one major problem this man had was that he was around the temple by the gate. The scripture says upon mount Zion there shall be deliverance, holiness and handing over of possessions. It never said by its gate or around it!
Friend, I want you to check where you’re standing or where you’re laid. Is it in the temple, meaning upon mount Zion or by its gate or around it? How do you do that you may ask?
Well, what are your activities in church? Are you a full-fledged member or just a visitor? In what capacity have you been of service in church? When last did you attend a mid-week meeting?
Probably you don’t even belong to any service group or unit? Some lame folks appear in church only on special occasions like Christmas, Easter and New Year celebrations and are complaining of lameness.
Friend, check your status in church.
To be continued…
Love you BiG
