Curing Lameness-2

Acts 3:1 “Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, [being] the ninth [hour].”
Acts 3:2 “And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;”
Acts 3:3 “Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.”
…From yesterday…
I want you to start making a mental computation of the lameness in your life. What are these things limiting you? It could be friends, a bad experience, a terrible past, family background, your boss at work, lack of proper education or even a physical impediment. I believe God to give you a cure through this piece in Jesus mighty name.
Keep the faith even as we analyze this wonderful turnaround story in the life of this man and see your own lameness disappear as well.
Let’s begin analyzing this story from verse two. We were told about this lame man and given a background into who he was. What can we learn from this?
Acts 3:2 “And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;”
The first thing we were told about him is that he was lame from his mother’s womb. In order words he was born lame. It was no fault of his. He grew up to see himself that way. He was limited by his background. We could trace his lameness to his origin.
He was suffering from the consequences of what had been done in his past which he knows nothing about! Limits had been placed on his life by his ancestors, family background and probably where he came from; he is suffering from impediments placed on him by circumstances beyond his control. It could even be a cultural issue, race, colour or his physical appearance. How sad?
